It might sound a little bit crazy at first, but there are literally millions of people out there that identify as “fruitatarians” – people that quite literally only eat fruit.
Even more surprising is the fact that many of them are incredibly fit, incredibly thin, and leading healthy, happy, and almost perfect hormonally balanced lives that those following the Standard American Diet (or traditional diets around the world) are desperate to enjoy themselves.
These fruit focused folks take veganism a step further, eliminating vegetables almost entirely (for the most part) and loading up on fruits like apples, bananas, and oranges. There’s one particular fruit focused “guru” online that consumes anywhere between 30 and 50 bananas day – making it the backbone of her diet while leading an active, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle she shares on social media.
But you don’t have to give up ALL of your favorite foods to take advantage of the weight loss benefits that a fruit focused diet inevitably brings to the table.
In fact, in just a week of eating fruit (and almost only fruit) you can drop the ridiculous amount of weight, boost your energy levels through the roof, and “reset” your metabolism so that you continue to melt fat like a furnace running 24/7 basis – whether you’re working out or not and whether or not you stick with this fruit only diet.
How Does Seven Day Diet Work?
Even those just barely aware of the new information we have regarding diet and nutrition today understand that there are three root causes of obesity today stemming from our dietary choices:
Processed foods and chemical additives
Overload of sodium, fat, and oils and
Way – WAY – too much sugar
This is why the most popular diets out there today are Paleo or Keto focused, eliminating carbohydrates almost entirely, stripping out processed foods and chemical additives, and focusing on healthy fats and protein more than anything else.
And while those diets can give you a jumpstart when you’re looking to build muscle and improve your health and wellness, nothing melts fat faster than eliminating calories and eating “raw” the way you will when you eat fruit.
A seven day fruit diet is going to dramatically lower your caloric intake just by the very nature of the fruit you eat in the first place. Two bowls of fruit – fresh fruit – may fill you up for hours and hours but have ¼ or less of the calories that a taco or a piece of pizza might. This is going to leave you feeling full more often while eating fewer calories, pushing you into a caloric deficit, reinforcing your body to improve your metabolism so that you melt fat for energy around the clock.
You are also going to be dramatically lowering your sodium intake when you switch over to a seven day fruit diet.
Almost all of us are eating way too much sodium as a general rule and that sodium is leaving our bodies “waterlogged” and incredibly inflamed. We retain a lot more water, which means we look and feel bloated, and on top of that we end up putting a lot of extra pressure on key bodily organs and our skeletal structure. This causes us to feel tired, worn out, and anything but ready to face the day.
When you switch to fruit for these seven days, however, you’re going to be eliminating sodium almost entirely. Your body will naturally push the excess water (you’ll be visiting the bathroom pretty frequently throughout the first five days or so, for sure) but you’re quite literally drop anywhere from 10 to 15 pounds in that first week – and feel like you have lost even more weight.
Best of all, getting started with a seven day fruit diet is about as simple and as straightforward as it gets. You have an almost endless amount of options to pick and choose from. The next seven days are going to show you just how much of an impact the way you eat has your health, well-being, and how you look and feel.
